Server log data
The largest amount of information we collect is statistical information about visitors.  This includes the date and time a page is visited,  IP address, and the type of browser and operating system used. We track how people arrive at our website (from a search engine, another website, or by typing in the address/using a bookmark) and on which page a visit begins and ends. If you use our search engine, we record the date and time of the search,  keyword(s) entered and the number of results the engine returned. We create statistical reports from this information to find out how people find and use our website and what kinds of information people view.  We use these statistics to help us decide what kinds of new information to add,  and if there are ways we can help visitors navigate to pages of interest more easily.

Web forms
If you fill out a web form (adding a personal website to our links page, volunteering to work at the state fair) that information will not be stored on the website and will only be used for the specific purpose intended.

E-mail

If you choose to contact MTP via email,  personally identifying information in your e-mail will be used only for the reasons it was provided (i.e., so that we can respond to a question or inquiry). It will not be added to a database that is used for general mailings or any other purpose.

Message Board

Our message board is intended as a place where individuals may leave questions or post information related to the mission of the Minnesota Territorial Pioneers. Individuals may post their email address in order to receive personal responses, but an email address is not required.  The message board is monitored and postings that do not relate to the mission of the organization or which MTP deems to have inappropriate content will be deleted.  MTP will not attempt to notify nor will it explain the deletion or reasons for it.  Individuals may request deletion of any posting made personally or by their children at any time by sending an email to webmaster@mnterritorialpioneers.org. You are not required to explain why you want the posting deleted.

If you place a posting on our message board, you should consider that the information you provide is available to anyone on the internet without restriction.  We strongly suggest that details such as phone numbers, addresses, etc. NOT be included in postings.  Our message board is provided by a third party, boards2go.com and MTP is bound by their terms of service. 

Children and Privacy
Our website complies with C.O.P.P.A.

Links to Other Sites
Our web site has links to many other web sites. We provide these links because we think information found on the sites may be interesting to our visitors. However, MTP is not responsible for content on any site but our own.  We cannot control or verify the accuracy of information you find on other websites.  When you go to another site, you are subject to the privacy and security policies of that site.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
Minnesota Territorial Pioneers, Inc. reserves the right to revise our privacy policy as circumstances require.  Changes in the policy will be highlighted for the first 30 days after their implementation.  If you have any questions or comments about any portion of our privacy policy,  send an email to webmaster@mnterritorialpioneers.org
